Yes Afghanistan is lost, just like the British lost it in the 19th century and the Russians lost it in the 20th century. All because one can’t impose whatever foreign system on a population of whom at least half still believes in the tribal versions of their written truth, while being openly supported by saudi petroleum dollars. No military can win the hearts of these men who in their opinion once more ‘freed’ their land. No military can win their hearts by just the display of brute force. Like today, another day would have come, a day on which the toll of bloodshed tipped the balance, not in favor of military Intervention. The credibility of western intervention lost this ‘conflict’ long before. Because, apart from military presence there was no true intention to let these people, whom we intervened upon, truly rule themselves. So, for them, this is their day of liberation. And no single high paid strategist ever thought of that.
What is also very interesting is reports on DW, in which the German minister of defense states that the open corruption of the former Afghan puppet government, especially came to fruition under the absence of rule under 45. In fact he states that the only emphasis of this forlorn administration was to corrupt, in which the disgust and foundation was laid for the very takeover of today.

And when the taliban take over control of the whole of afghanistan…and if taliban break any international law (womens right, human rights, etc. ) then the US and allies will have a reason to return to afghanistan to fight the taliban… just like iraq.. if this will happen, afghanistan will become a war torn country.
And when all the members of the Taliban are in the city, it is easy to fight them. Than they are on the mountain they are harder to fight.
