But it is the lack of government expenditure on healthcare that has lead to the hospitals being overwhelmed EVERY January and February in France long before Covid-19 entered the discussion. The state violence witnessed in the capitol this weekend was nothing short of frightening. Our government is supposed to instil respect for the rule of law, not fear of the government and the violence of it’s agents.
