The appointment of Dina Boluarte as the new president and her promises to call for general elections in 2024 have not appeased angry protesters around the country.

He won over the daughter of former president Fujimori. Congress did not like him, blocked everything he wanted to do and tried to impeach him 3 times. The first time was about 5 months of him being elected on “permanent immoral incapacity”. In Peru you can impeach for anything and there is no trial. Just before the last impeachment attempt, he came out wanting to dissolve congress and have new people elected and that gave them an excuse to have a successful impeachment. It was 3 impeachment withing like 6 months.
