Tensions between The Philippines and China have resurfaced in the past few weeks with China announcing it will push for a code of conduct in the disputed waters of the South China Sea.
The Philippine Coast Guard says it is stepping up patrols in the area, where Chinese vessels continue to linger.
Joint patrols with the US and Australia are also in the works.

And by the way, that old ship is still considered active and in service. So if China would dare to attack that navy ship, it will be an act of war. It’s the least expensive strategy of the Philippines that’s been giving China a headache. So, that rusty ship is either a trigger or a deterrent to war, depending on how you want to look at it.
