I know your videos will always be amazing, leaving a like is the first thing i do before I even start watching 😉
Great tips!
Nate O’Brien you are a god thank you
This information is really helpful and encouraging.
Nate O’Brien You’re a cool dude
Your videos are really helpful! Thank you so much
Thank you! I appreciate the support!
Number 1 is just an excuse for people to “feel” good about themselves by wasting more money to impress others who don’t even care what you buy. 🤷🏻♂️ most food brand or not taste the same 🤔 great video 👍
Wasting money to impress others… That is definitely #1
Hey Oscar, I just dropped a like on your last video about how banks trick us, nice job there. I would be more than happy if you take a look on my first video, I’m new to the YouTube and I really need support from people like you. Thank you in advance man 🙂
So true!!
true to an extent but cheap chocolate is actually so bad…
While some off brands started the same some don’t so I would definitely suggest people experiment and decide which name brands are actually worth it.
Awesome content as always Nate!
Thank you Stas!!!
Hey Stas, I just dropped a like on your last video about investing in 2019, nice job there. I would be more than happy if you take a look on my first video, I’m new to the YouTube and I really need support from people like you. Thank you in advance man 🙂
Many excellent points 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Ken!
Haha I thought you were about to go on for hours about all the fast food😂
😡😡 I was tempted
lol unfortunately the uber is never that cheap so I would be better off just taking the bus. Interesting video nonetheless
I suppose it depends where you are located. An uber in LA might be twice as expensive as an Uber in State College.
The phone ringing sound in the music is a tad annoying, just a note.
I appreciate the input
Thanks for the tips, I enjoy all of your video a lot. Tbh it’s pretty hard to find such a good channel with continiousily good content that as a bonus is very helpful. And I can be sure that it’s never clickbait/lies. So happy i found this channel. Keep making this amazing content bro!😊
Sorry if my english is bad 🙂
Thank you! Your English is very good. Where are you from?
@Nate O’Brien I’m from Sweden, english is one of my favorite subjects 🙂
Nice. Stockholm sounds very very cold
@Nate O’Brien yeah a lot of people say that. I’m sure every swede would disagree though
We’re used to it
Because of music I can’t watch your videos
Dollar Plus I barely even noticed it haha
Are you referring to the background music?
Nate O’Brien yes
What are youre thoughts on Qupital?
Qupital or Qapital? I love Qapital
Lol yes that one. Awesome bro. I plan to buy an apartment soon and that app is helping me save well. Any other cool apps like that? Or any other money saving tips?
Race you to a Million Nate !
Let’s go!
Great video! Very helpful
Anybody with $30,000. in a savings account and is happy making 2% is doing something wrong.
Your point is valid
I’m guilty of having 37k in Capital One MM account at 2.0%… but saving to make a move on some land in a few years. I do have a nice amount invested in stocks and Fundrise
what if you’re very risk averse and have no idea how to, or are anxious about buying and selling stocks, mutual funds, etfs, ishares, etc., and don’t know how to find a trustworthy financial advisor ? Any advice? I’ve been researching to learn more, but it’s very intimidating and I don’t want to take any chances because my household (mother and 2 brothers) depends on my single income, and I don’t know what kind of emergencies may arise in the future.
AussieMoneyMan haha I have read and watched a lot but I think I am currently in what we call ‘analysis paralysis’ >.<
Nate, what do you think about doing a live q and a?
I have plans on doing a livestream soon!
I was a victim of #7, until I switched to online banking. Ally bank is my favorite, not only for their rate but great customer services. 1-6 I figured them quickly hehe 🙂
I was a victim of #7 for a very long time as well
@Nate O’Brien But we have learned from our mistakes; we are now on the path of financial success and prosperity!
Marcus by goldman sachs is 2.25% interest FYI.
Thanks for sharing!
I’ve recently subscribed to your channel. You’re a smart kid and I like the content as well as style of your videos, but if I may make a comment, hopefully without sounding too negative, try to avoid repeating yourself and saying the same thing over and over again (I’ve just stopped at 1:45). Saying the same thing in others words is redundant and dilutes the otherwise beneficial and meaningful content. At least in my view, it’s better to either expand on the idea or move on to another one. But otherwise a job well done!
I appreciate the honest feedback! Maybe I should edit my videos into shorter segments instead of doing the entire video in one take
I like the fact that you speak naturally, not reading a script like many others do, and that your videos are shot in one take, at least as much as possible. Your presentation skills are excellent. My comment was intended as professional feedback (I am a teacher and presenter myself) to help you further improve your skillset and my viewing experience 🙂 Have a great year! Zdenek
I agree with you. I have been working towards becoming a better speaker. You should have seen my speaking skills 5 years ago (YIKES). Wishing you a successful 2019 – Nate
I appreciate the irony of being redundant in your comment to him about being redundant.
Your vids are so short and amazing, I’m from the uk so I try to take what applies to US and UK and use that in my life as I’m 15. You have interested me in looking for a job and I’m gonna start with stock investment soon :). Thank you Nate for being an inspiration to me
Your comment just made my day! Thank you for supporting the channel, I try my best to provide value. Keep working hard & you can achieve anything, you are already ahead of 95% of your peers
Nate O’Brien I will👍👍
Very good practical tips – thanks for this
I slightly disagree with you on the bus. My car went out on me a year ago and now by moving “slower” I’ve taken the time to read my books, watch finacial YouTube videos (like yours), and think of investing opportunities by people watching and observing my surroundings in different neighborhoods. Plus my bus card is only $100 a month for unlimited rides.
I understand. The point I was attempting to make was emphasizing opportunity cost. Sometimes it is important to slow down and take a step back. Thanks for the continued support on the channel
@Nate O’Brien
You’re right about valuing your time. Matter of fact, the first time I heard it was last year. It has given me a different perspective on what I should or should not waste time on but I just wanted to add that you can get more value by slowing down sometimes too. Thank you for your videos!
I will note this. Thanks again!
Thanks for stopping by!
Nate can’t stop dropping absolute bangers on us
Many more to come.. Every Monday and Thursday!
Buying food for quality is important. Depending on what you like to eat, you can still save money when buying bulk items, that are much healthier, just at a slightly higher price.
Agreed. I would not sacrifice health for food quality
So many ways to optimize cash flow!
Yes sir!
At least in my case I use:
-Target debit card 5% discount and coupons.
-Buy metro/bus card, pay rent and bills with CC give me miles.
-Store brand in food, personal care and even clothes (Except shoes I like Nike) 😂
-My mobile phone auto recharge $10 discount every month.
Coming soon: waiting Robinhood 3% checking/saving.
Excited for that 3%!!!
Thanks for sharing your ideas!
Great video. Keep it up man!
Thank you! New videos every Monday and Thursday!
Very informational.. Congratulations with 50k.. Follower since 1k
Thank you, Adrian!!! I appreciate the continued support!
Not accounting for time is a big one! A lot of people will spend hours just to save a couple bucks, and it’s really not worth it when you can invest that time elsewhere!
Yes! Glad to see you agree!
Good stuff boss
Thanks boss
Credit cards are dumb, don’t buy stuff you can’t afford and debit cards charge immediately it makes you take a extra little thinking before spending. Debit cards = more money
You have a point but there are times where credit cards can make sense. For example, my landlord accepts credit cards with no additional fee. I received $120 in cash back solely from paying my rent with my credit card this year. People run into trouble when they don’t budget their money. Additionally, credit cards offer an additional level of security, it’s much more difficult to dispute fraudulent charges on a debit card. Either way, it’s important to use whichever payment method that you feel most comfortable
100 k subscribers be the end of 2019 promise!
I don’t know, we will see!
this video is really informative tysm! (ps : i really like how you explaining things) keep it up!
Thank you! New videos every monday and friday
Another easy way to save money is to cook your own meals/eat at home. Not only can it be like 65% cheaper, it also tastes great and you develop your cooking skills!
Thanks for sharing your ideas
That’s very true. I like ur idea. Nigeria is in economic recession.
A lot of people shouldn’t have credit cards and here’s why….Credit cards will take you farther than you want to go, keep you there longer than you want to stay, and cost you more than you want to pay. Credit card abuse and high interest rates keeps people in an endless pit that they sometimes can’t get out of. Good video!
Well no one is looking forward to tax day now
Very useful information. Keep it up Nate!
please make more videos like this!!
Perhaps it would be a good idea to speak slower.
Just change playback speed
ja im agree..excellent topics but too fast speaks
Plus = kids and women. Stay away and you’re good.
Time is money:
7. Using Traditional Banks
6. Using The Wrong Credit Card
5. Not Hacking Taxes
4. Not Accounting For Time
3. Emergency Food
2. Forgetting To Return Items
1. Name Brand Food
You’re a godsend
Have food on you at all times!?
Wow, I wish all big life suggestions were as simple as that!
That food tip is real tho, there’s food stashed in every room of my house 😹😹👏👏👏
Why are you buying $90 shoes my man what a waste
Agreed, should be buying multiple $150 buy-it-for-life shoes, for a rotation that’ll last decades. Cha-Ching baby.
Awesome tips!! I 100% agree on the importance of having an accountant… especially if you own your own business!
Yes! Otherwise finances can get sloppy
Great channel. Very organized. I good learn a thing or two from this. You gained a new sub congrats!
Hello ! Those videos are really good, I think it would be even better if you film them in your kitchen / living room / room. So there is a background and an atmosphere and the videos feels more alive and less formel.
My accountant saved me $3,500 last year that I would have forked over to the fed without knowing any better. Well worth it folks. If you’re a business owner — do it.
Smart ass nigga
Why shouldn’t someone with 15,000$ be afraid of dropping it in an online savings account?
Bro you’re killing it. I only made my rent this month with pennies to spare so need to start getting creative
Everyone wants to make large amounts of cash within a couple of hours daily, even me. I have not found any working methods until I uncovered *4NetJobs. Com* from a good friend. I searched it on Google and today my every day profits is over “$ 100”.?
There’s a thing with “waste money”. It may seem of value to you but it is relative. Look at the stars, why do they glow at night? Its not because its just emitting light, its because its a refraction of light. And with “waste money” people tend to look at their waste money through an angle. Not every angle can be seen because light is blinding right?
So people who are wasting money won’t admit it but they truly don’t care. If you can somehow give them every angle, by talking to them one on one, then you can really really understand why they are wasting money. This is why the media interviews people who go bankrupt, it isn’t because the person getting interview is bankrupt, it isn’t because they want attention, it isn’t because they are trying to survey and find solutions. It is because they are deep sea fishing for some angles.
People put themselves in positions. Good positions only last as the ratio to good and bad in anything has to be balanced.
Take for example 50 cent. He went bankrupt. Why? Because in 2014 he “accidentally” made 8 million dollars in bitcoins he didn’t know he had. Then in 2016 he filed for bankruptcy. You gotta admit people follow 50 cent and other big celebrities lifestyles to the core. With a pattern like that running in people you have to see the truth. Waste money is there because people don’t care if they have money after they meet a certain threshold.
Then there is impulsive buying,..
People waste money…because there is money to waste.
Please keep doing videos like this, you have the best content I’ve ever seen, it’s real and your honest and humble and you say exactly the needed not like others that waste an hour bragging to then sell you a course 👏🏼❤️
Some really good ideas Nate. And very well presented too. Thanks very much.
Just subscribed to your channel and I’m really enjoying your videos and content! I’d definitely appreciate shorter videos though (you know, save some time… haha) :).
Relivent and presented in an understandable manner.
adjust your camera elevation
Thanks for all your videos Nate, they have been very helpful!
I buy real cheerios but I buy discount brand frosted mini wheats. Most of our food is the off brand.
Nate is a Graham Stephen Jr. in my eyes. Keep on doing what you’re doing 🤘🏾
the most unhealthy choice is to overthink about money and future. just don’t get neck deep into costly hobbies.
Would you still reccommend Allied Bank today?

Great video. But you don’t need food every hour. If you are fat adapted, your body can go several hours without food. Just eat more fat and protein, and you will be able to go longer without food.
Welcome 2021 0.50 on my high yield savings and dropping
Please list your video content within your descriptions. Saves time for those of us that don’t have a lot of time to spare.
It’s so interesting to watch your videos on mistake people make regarding money because America has such a unique culture regarding money. It seems to me that you guys love to spend money on useless items and just do monthly payments on everything. Down here in Brazil it’s just so different. We have higher interest rates on basically everything compared to the US, so people tend to be more cautious with their money
So I checked out the Barclays online savings but says 0.50% APY prior to opening ac account and not 2.20%. Why ?
where you trying to sound Italian in this video? like you were some kind of Italian gangster mob boss or something lmao lol
shirt is fire bro
