As pleas for a ceasefire in Gaza grow louder, there is a palpable sense of urgency at the United Nations.
But the Security Council remains divided, struggling to find a unified voice as the turmoil drags on.
With UN officials warning of a breakdown of civil order in Gaza, On Monday, members of the Security Council gathered for yet another emergency meeting on the war.
The UN refugee agency for Palestinians tells the Security Council that forced displacement is taking place in Gaza, and Israeli attacks on civilians there are collective punishment.

Many has been brain washed to believe that Jews “occupied”” in 1948. For your education here is the history of Israel is as follows:
1. Exodus from Egypt and the Sinai Wanderings (13th-12th century BCE): The story of the Exodus from Egypt, led by Moses, is a foundational event in Jewish history.
2. Conquest and the Judges (12th-11th century BCE): After entering the Promised Land, the Israelites faced a period of conquest and settlement. They were led by various judges, including Gideon, Samson, and Deborah.
3. Establishment of the Monarchy (11th century BCE): The Israelites transitioned from a loose confederation of tribes to a centralized monarchy. Saul became the first king, followed by King David.
4. King David (c. 1000-961 BCE): King David, known for his psalms and military conquests, is a central figure in Jewish history. He captured Jerusalem and established it as the capital of the united monarchy.
5. King Solomon (c. 961-922 BCE): King Solomon, David’s son, is famous for his wisdom and for building the First Temple in Jerusalem, which became the religious center for the Israelites.
6. Division of the Kingdom (10th century BCE): After Solomon’s death, the kingdom split into the northern Kingdom of Israel (with its capital in Samaria) and the southern Kingdom of Judah (with its capital in Jerusalem).
7. Assyrian and Babylonian Exiles (8th-6th century BCE): The northern Kingdom of Israel fell to the Assyrians in 722 BCE, and the southern Kingdom of Judah was later conquered by the Babylonians in 586 BCE. This led to the Babylonian Exile, during which the Jews were taken into captivity in Babylon.
8. Return from Exile and Second Temple (6th-5th century BCE): After the Babylonian Exile, some Jews were allowed to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the city and the Second Temple, which became the center of Jewish worship.
9. Persian and Hellenistic Period (5th-2nd century BCE): During this time, the Jews lived under the rule of the Persian Empire and later the Hellenistic Seleucid Empire. The Maccabean Revolt (166-160 BCE) resulted in Jewish independence for a brief period.
10. Roman Period (1st century BCE – 5th century CE): The Roman Republic and later the Roman Empire had a significant impact on Jewish history. In 63 BCE, Rome intervened in the Hasmonean civil war, leading to the establishment of Roman rule in Judea. King Herod the Great, an ally of Rome, expanded and renovated the Second Temple.
11. First Jewish-Roman War (66-73 CE): A major Jewish revolt against Roman rule resulted in the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 CE, except for the Western Wall (the Wailing Wall). Masada, a fortress in the Judaean Desert, fell to the Romans in 73 CE.
Following the destruction of the Second Temple, Jews spread though out the known world, include India, Arabia (Medina city), various parts of Roman empire. A large presence of Jews continued to be in the Levant area, despite defeat by Romans. Finally in 1948, they became the rulers of their land once again, that belonged to them.
Why not just tell Israel to stop bombing? Is it up to them to decide? If the United Nations (UN) can stop them, then why not use them?
