A rare deep-sea squid with ‘headlights’ was filmed by scientists at a depth of more than one kilometre in the Pacific Ocean near Samoa. It’s believed to be one of the largest deep-water squids and can produce light in the tips of two of its arms.

Just a guess, but I wonder if one of the things they use the 2 bioluminescent tentacles for is to confuse prey? Like make them think the eyes are down there while the top tentacles reach and trap the prey. Just by how they wrapped around the camera in the video
