BRICKS, is a joke. Even the world financial institutions ignore them. Please, release your own currency and make your countries even more destitute. Because none of them could carry it. The last country to try it was Japan in the 80’s. It nearly bankrupted them, and they won’t try that again.
China’s economy is crashing. Russia has nearly destroyed itself. SA is in chaos and an economic disaster already. And while the US is currently helping to build up India, India’s going to let China’s yuan be prominent? Don’t bet on it and China pays for Bricks. Anyone taking Bricks seriously is kidding themselves and telling us all they know little to nothing about how world economics works.
Russian rubles are worth garbage. The Chinese Yuan is untradable ruling it out. You might as well include the Indian rupee, SA, Argentinian, Iranian etc. currencies in that garbage bin. Who’s left? Oh ya, no one. The only member of Bricks that might have any value is Saudi Arabia who are only joining because the US no longer needs their oil or anything else from them and the house of Saud needs a protector. Don’t look to them to sacrifice anything for it.
80% of American trade takes place in North America so anything BRICKS did would not affect them at all. The EU might have minor concerns at most. So, who is this going to help? No one.
For those who don’t know, all this is just posturing. These countries are just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic and hoping to get something out of it.
Funny how Bricks began and even got its name from an English stock trader in the US who was merely trying to make a bond trading package and thought if he combined these countries bonds together there might some small value as a package to sell. More Irony…

Why BRICS will win. Efficiency. Unlike U.S., it does not take 20 years to build California high speed rail or 4 years to build a bridge. Also, housing is built quick and cheap so everyone can afford. That is why eventually West will lose. When I see how expensive it cost to live in U.S. because it is not building enough housing, sick to my stomach. Dear BRICS+ members, let us remember 1 thing and act on this with speed to end dependence of the USD and the imperialist posture and illegal sanctions that are imposed by the US. 1) that the US dollar is nothing but a piece of paper with a picture and figure on it without any value or asset to back it (a fiat currency). 2) that value attached to the US dollar is created by resources, products and services that are produced in individual countries independent of the USA, for example, Oil from the OPEC. 3) that the illegal sanctions imposed by the US inhibit a countries ability to buy and sell its goods and services at the international level only. 4) that assets / reserves belonging to individual countries are maintained in US dollars, and this is a huge risk (refer to the seizure of Venezuelan Gold stolen by the UK, the 300 billion dollars of Russia stolen by the EU and US and the 7 Billion dollars belonging to the Afghanistan people stolen by the USA). When you consider the above, you would notice that it is very easy to evade sanctions, theft of foreign reserves and eliminate on dollar dependence once and for all if we all did one thing, and that is create an alternative trading currency, medium and platform amongst BRICS and other interested nations of the world (after all, the highest population, about 87% of the world lives in the Global South. The resources, products and services traded internationally do not come from the west, rather, these are are extracted, refined and produced within the Global South, and largely traded within the region, and end up int the western world. The west has little to offer except this currency that has no value attached. But instead, we get bullied, punched and tossed around as if we are dependent on the west for our survival or prosperity. 21st Century should no longer be a period which must allow this to continue any longer. We call for the BRICS+ to gather around intelligent minds of economists, Business Leaders, Social Scientists, Engineers and Political Scientists, mainly, an international task force and pursue this dream further. WE ARE TOO MATURED TO BE BULLIED BY THE USA AND ITS WESTERN CLOWNS IN THE EU.
BRICS intentions isn’t to “bring” the West down. Nothing petty & vengeful is occurring. The goal is about what’s practical & aligned with their overall interests.

They are countries that the rest of the World was told they could invest in and get favorable returns. Brazil and India are still investible emerging markets. Russia is trash and China has been called “uninvestable” recently. This will not end well for BRICs countries hoping for more prosperity. There is very little prosperity in this World unless you are selling to the US and EU. Alienating them doesn’t help in most situations.
