Autonomy destroy the economy
What about lag in communication? Will truck stop or pull over if communication with controller end?
Why not take the technology and eliminate humans from the equation! Until everything is fully automated someone will still have to unload the merchandise.
And when you get pulled over by cops then what?

I think that’s why it needs to be localised so there’s fair trades all around and so that there’s less debt globally and financial books aren’t cooked

I don’t see what the business value is in this. With autonomous driving you replace the labor for the truck drivers. This would require massive capital investment for trucking companies to refleet, but they’d still have a labor cost to their drivers.
Then there are regulation challenges with governments.
Retraining costs for drivers.
Most likely added liability costs for insurance.
It’s cool technology, but I don’t see the business problem they’re solving with this

You know I’m no rocket scientist but I truly think making roads conveyor belts might be cheaper than building 1 billion cars that drive themselves …obviously I’m not saying every road in America and the world that would make no sense for example you might not need a conveyor belt road in a small town in Montana as you would a stretch of Los Angeles New York Atlanta basically the busiest parts of the country the busiest stretches of highway should get them

It is a horrible idea. A lot of truck driving is feel and sound. Creating that at home would cost many thousands of dollars. And the increased lag of drivers seeing something and the controls actually doing something is likely to add a half second at best to reaction times. The reason it works for drones is there is little to hit at the heights they fly. I say all this as a maker of driving video games haunted by multiplayer lag. And that is just a game.
