Two weeks after Zimbabwe imposed a nationwide lockdown, it is easing some restrictions.
The country is already facing its worst economic crisis in nearly 10 years and the coronavirus lockdown measures are threatening the livelihoods of people.

@infunnie moment not really. The farmers took farming there. Like many other things too. Education was taken there. Your government does nothing for your people.
Your country accepts donations from the West. But has nothing but hate for it. That’s racism and hypocrisy. I met a farmer many years ago now. He had friends murdered. Was turfed off his farm. He said to me..it is not the farm workers. They are terrific people who were sad to see us leave. It is the corrupt and racist people, who do not understand. We and our workers were happy.
One thing i will say. What happened many years ago has nothing to do with African poverty today. But it is a good way to get hand outs you dont deserve or are even greatful for. Africa is largely a helpless place, when it has everything there to be successful. But racism causes anything good to be destroyed.
Some very good people there. Sadly lead by Dictators or usurpers trying to destroy everything.
Many countries across the world have been enslaved..even the UK.
But instead of hate and using history as a good example to move forward, Zimbabwe continue on a path of hate. It will not get the country anywhere. As for my little farmers..they aren’t. I hate oppression of anyone, Asian, Brown, Whites, Blacks. These farmers brought prosperity and food to your people. For that they were murdered.
Sadly, times are about to get worse. Covid19 will and is forcing countries to look to home before giving aid.
Climate change will and is bringing drought to your continent and mine.
Lets hope instead of killing and taking what people think is theirs..even though they did nothing for it… they get together and help one another.
We know good people will. The others, well…we will see.

There are other countries such as Sweden who are not doing the lock down, as it’s not currently appropriate for their economy …Zimbabwe should look at the different strategies and apply whatever works best for them.
Sweden, their culture is not accompanied by embrace, they are separate! Many have died! Not a good strategy!
Taiwan also didn’t lockdown
Zimbabwe doesn’t have to worry too much about their economy, it’s been DEAD since 2008. They import everything and manufacture nearly zero!!. No real currency,No jobs,No health care system, No electricity, No law and Order!!

Zimbabwe deserves better. Things have seemed to slowly improve after Mugabe, but who knows how far Mnangagwa changes will go. I can only hope for the best to all people in the region, stay safe.

This is very sad.I used Zimbabwe as my major example on my youtube talkshow as l was discussing on Africa’s preparedness in combating this global pandemic.
These are the lucky ones.What about those who do not have relatives abroad to send them money?
You underestimate the resourcefulness of the Zimbabwean people…when the Zim currency became worthless they improvised, instead of trading with currency they traded goods for goods…e.g. “I have a chicken you have a cow i’ll trade you milk for eggs” , also many already have & grow produce in their own gardens…in short, the “we need aid mentality” was thrown out by the past leadership
