In this video, I share with you some reasons why you should meditate every day… (not why you think you should). This is a practice that has greatly impacted my life. Meditation is one of the most effective ways to cope with stress, and find a sense of inner calmness and peace from the daily pressures that life brings.
I am not a master of meditation, but it is something that I have committed to going deeper with, over the last six months. Intellectually, I always knew that meditation was good for me, but I never did it, because I didn’t associate to it on an emotional level. Once I forced myself to meditate over a period of time, I started to notice the benefits, on both an emotional, mental, and spiritual level.
These are some reasons why you should meditate every day… (not why you think you should). We all lead busy lives, but if we want to achieve life mastery, it is important that we feel a sense of balance, in our body, mind, and soul. Go deeper and embrace the power of meditation.
How would it feel to start your day feeling calm and grounded? Let the power of meditation help you achieve this peaceful state of being. In the words of Ram Dass, “The quieter you become, the more you can hear.” There is no greater reason for why you should meditate every day.

Do you meditate? If so, what has been your experience or biggest benefits that you’ve received so far?
For me it has reminded me that my current state of mind and feelings is not the only way it can be
It increases my happiness, lung capacity, helps me focus, decreases stress, increased my sense of compassion
Medidation is actually amazing when you’re stressed out, it really gets you to restart the game, on long term thinking I’ve still haven’t noticed anything, probably because I was always a mindful-live-in-the-moment dude
I know I feel much more “stable”. And just recently I looked at my fitbit results, and I can actually SEE my resting heart rate has gone done from like 72 to 62 beats per minute in the past three months…
When I see someone not handling a situation very well, I want to express how much they need to meditate and how easy it is.
I’ve also realised the feeling I feel after meditation and yoga (and I only do about 20-30 minutes combined each day) that I have a sort of “buzz” after it… I’ve now identified it as the same sort of buzz you desire from alcohol or drugs, but of course a MUCH healthier way to get it!

I’d just come to the exact same conclusions as you are talking about this week.. But I was only able to come to that conclusion in the silence that I had down by my creek, with nature and away from my “social media addictions”…. I know I couldn’t have ever come to that realisation if I didn’t make myself pull away from those distractions…

i do this multiple times a day… mini meditations.
I’ve started meditating 1-2 hours a day and it is one of the most important practices I do everyday. You don’t get the benefits in the moment while doing it, you may even come out of it stressed. The benefits comes later. You have almost an aha moment where you go “whoa, things are different”. Kyle Cease is a great resource for this. He did a 100 day challenge where he meditated 100 days in a row for 2 hours a day and records a video after each meditation. Great video Stefan!

Would you recommend meditating more in the morning rather than before going to bed?
Daniel Adams Morning meditations are a good way to set the tone for the day, whereas night meditations are good for reflecting/releasing the day you’ve had. So it depends on what you prefer. Some people do both to experience the best of both worlds

Meditation has allowed me actually start “Living”. Nothing is more compelling than living in the moment and that is what meditating has done for me. A recent benefit of meditation is that it prompted me to finally publish my FIRST BOOK!
