Two weeks since the city of Jalalabad was taken without a fight, the Taliban says it is establishing a system of security and justice.
But the group faces an uphill struggle to solve socioeconomic concerns and mistrust from people who remember the Taliban from 20 years ago.
Al Jazeera’s Osama Bin Javaid was given exclusive access to the city after the US withdrawal was complete.

The Taliban must ward off rebel provocations by continuing to negotiate and at the same time carry out a total embargo on rebellious locations in order to avoid civilian casualties, women and children.
