Engineers in Slovakia are hailing a new era of transport after a flying car completed its first inter-city flight.
The “AirCar” completed a 35-minute journey on Monday.
The dual-transportation vehicle uses wings that fold away in less than three minutes.

These vehicles have enormous industrial and domestic potential particularly where point to point transit is not available…an example is agriculture aswell significance in other industrial uses or indeed remote locations…this is no gimmick they will soon be in the skies thats for sure…

Absolutely not, engineering can solve every problem. Imagine flying cars on larger scale, using automatic computing system to regulate air space and autopilot them, even planes nowdays are on autopilot all the time. Hight tech cars are getting autopilot too. This will eradicate the possibility of human factor failiure
@Karkukri maibe you are joking , the autopilot of the planes is not 100% automatic , simply coz cant do the work for the pilot, and even the self driving cars that exist have a poor selfdriving IA , that can produce even more accidents

The only way humans will get flying cars is if they were automated. There is no way we could trust hundreds of millions or billions of flying cars to fly safely. Car accidents would cause a lot more dmg. Flying under various influences would also be a bigger problem. I wonder if Sky Rage would be a thing if it wasn’t automated.

If i had a penny for every flying car (and that’s 1000s) that was going to change the world during my lifetime, I’d certainly be able to afford one of my own.
