Taliban co-founder Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar has arrived in Kabul for talks to hammer out a new Afghan government, nearly a week after the armed group seized the capital without resistance.
And for the first time since the group’s takeover, ministry offices have reopened.
There is a sense of normality resuming in Kabul, with more people in the streets.
Banks remain shut in Afghanistan and people are facing difficulties due to soaring prices and the suspension of banking services.
Government and private employees are facing financial issues, as they have no clue about their salaries.
Al Jazeera’s Rob McBride reports from Kabul, Afghanistan.

It is true that nobody wants to live the country but people are so anxious to do so probably reflect the following concerns:
1. Taliban had ruled Afghanistan with brutalities, violence, lawlessness, corruption and oppressions in the past.
2. Afghanistan is never a country but a collection of tribes and warlords who are still in loggerheads with each other. As such, can Taliban rules the country peacefully without resorting to violence, brutalities and lawlessness.
3. For 45 years Talibans are fighting wars which is ingrained in their life, blood, soul and spirit. Can they be transformed overnight and fused into the world system and orders?
4. Can a leopard changes its spots?
